The 33rd Meeting of Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery

Information on changing the holding format

The 33rd Meeting of the Japanese Society of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery considered the impact of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and have made preparations so that the event can be held locally after thorough infection prevention measures.

However, in view of the current situation in which the spread of infection is not likely to converge, the Board of Directors of the JSHBP decided to abandon the full-scale on-site holding and to hold it as a hybrid format congress, mainly online and partly on-site.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to all concerned regarding this change in the holding format.

Therefore, we would like to give you an overview as follows.

Theme sessions (Presidential Lecture, Special Session, Plenary Session, Project Research, Symposium, Video Symposium, Panel Discussion, Workshop, Debate Session) are to be presented as live-streaming, and on-demand streaming from June 18 to June 30.
*Plenary session is live-streaming only.
Chairman's Lecture, Oversea Honorable Member Nominee lecture, Educational Seminar, Educational Video, Video Session, Requested Session, Free Paper (Oral and Poster) are to be presented as on-demand streaming on the official Congress website from June 2 to June 30.

Co-sponsored seminars will be decided in coordination with each sponsor.

That is all for the outline. Further details are to be announced on the website.

Please be advised that event format may have to be changed to complete online conference depending on the future situation. We appreciate your kind understanding and we will continue to make diligent preparations for the success of this general meeting. We look forward to your support and cooperation.
